Stephanie Matza, DO chose a career in medicine because she liked the idea of combining science and the art of helping others. “I was most influenced by my own family physician, who was incredibly patient and understanding, ” she says. “I've been fortunate to have had many great mentors who taught me the value of forging strong connections with my patients as well as colleagues.” As a physician, Dr. Matza’s goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care and make patients feel heard. In addition to her work as a MemorialCare physician, Dr. Matza serves in the Air Force Reserve as a Flight Surgeon. “I'm proud to serve my country and care for service members. Earlier this year, I participated in a training mission to the Virgin Islands where we provided no-cost medical care to the local community during a 10-day health fair.”
